About Firehouse Theater Company<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Our Goals, Mission, Beliefs and More<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Firehouse Theater Company seeks to build community and promote empathy by telling a wide range of stories portraying the experiences of characters who reflect the faces and lives of the world we live in. Our intention is to create a safe space that welcomes and supports all people and where all voices are valued. We acknowledge that our progress toward genuine diversity, equity, inclusion and access (DEIA) is bound to be incremental and ongoing. By embracing the challenges of building a diverse and inclusive environment in our theater our work is enlivened and we grow as a company and as people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Firehouse Theater Company is a non-profit theatrical organization dedicated to providing a collaborative environment where actors, producers, writers, directors, crew, and all other contributors, regardless of background, race, gender or sexual identity, physical ability, and experience have the opportunity to learn, explore, and practice the art of theater. We welcome the whole community to our theater where we tell stories about all kinds of people, and seek to represent diversity on and behind stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mission Statement<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Firehouse Theater Company seeks to build a community of positivity, kindness, inclusivity, and joy through the theater arts.  We bring to life on stage the experiences of a kaleidoscope of characters with the aim of entertaining audiences, broadening perspectives, and deepening empathy.  We encourage collaboration and openness to new ideas.  We support emerging artists and also celebrate our experienced creatives, giving everyone an opportunity to grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Firehouse thanks The Indigenous Corporation 5280 (you can follow them on Facebook) for helping us deepen our understanding of the meaning and value of acknowledging the Indigenous peoples who have been dispossessed from the homelands and territories upon which this facility was built, including the Cheyenne, Arapaho, Ute, and the 48 Tribes that have called this land.
